Idioms are expressions which have a meaning that is not obvious from individual words.
习惯用语(idioms),简称习语,惯用语,是种固定的表达法,所以又叫做set phrases, 其真正意思往往不同于其组成部分的每个单词。
举个栗子,有这么一个习语drive somebody round the bend 表达的意思是让某人生气或者沮丧,但是我们可能无法从字面意思上去get到这个习语的意思。
习语的正确理解及使用,会让你离native speaker 更近一步,经常看我们文章的小伙伴会发现,小编会经常整理常见雅思话题的习语表达。
