托福独立写作中，当我们完成对文章整体的构架和论点的选取之后，就需要斟酌亮点句的写法了。由于亮点句通常放置在首段及段落首句等*容易一眼辨别的地方，因此，除了首段写作，如何把论点句写得出彩是同学们应该去思考解决的问题。在这里我介绍一种能够有效、*打造亮点句的方法：使用分词状语写论点句。
在论证话题时，我们会用到大量表示因果关系的论点。当多个句子的主语相同时，我们可以考虑使用分词状语来代替表示因果关系的连接词。以*近的一道独立写作考题为例：

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement: Teachers had a greater influence on young people in the past than they do today.
步：选取分论点（disagree）：
（因为）现在的老师在专业领域里拥有更丰富的知识，能够为学生*更专业和客观的建议，（所以）他们对年轻人的影响是越来越深远的。
Nowadays, because teachers master a greater deal of knowledge in their field and they can make much more professional and objective suggestions to students, they exert growing influence on young people nowadays.
第二步：将前两句表示原因的句子的主语去掉，谓语动词变成现在分词形式：
Mastering a greater deal of knowledge in their field and making much more professional and objective suggestions to students, teachers exert growing influence on young people nowadays.
如此一来，通过分词状语替换原分论点中的because，原本较生硬的句子变得更加流畅，在句型使用上也*了一个层次。
掌握这种方法以后，我们还可以利用它来进一步完善论点。例如：

步：选取分论点

In addition, children will have courage to confront and then to deal with hardships.
第二步：将分论点句的因果关系补充完整：
1.（因为梦想）作为追寻内心*深切渴望的动力，（所以）梦想对于*来说尤为重要。
Being the motivation for pursuing the deepest desire, dreams play an essential role in one’s life.
2.（因为*们能够）追逐自己的梦想，（所以）*的创造力会得到*。
Pursuing their own dreams, children can inspire their creativity.
3.（因为*们）有了创造力，（所以）*们将会变得有勇气去面对困难。
With creativity, children will have courage to confront and then to deal with hardships.
