  Lesson 94 Future champions

Babies of two months old do not appear to be reluctant to enter the water.

( 1 )I don’t appear to be able to find my book. (误)

  (2) I appear to be unable to find my book. (正)

  I don’t appear

1.I don’t appear to have written his name.

  2. . . but this did not appear to have caused the fire.

  3. She didn’t appear to hear, and was certainly quite cheerful.

4.She appeared not to know what was happening.

Babies of two months old appear not to be reluctant to enter the water.

It is not long before they are so accustomed to swimming that they can pick up weights from the floor of the pool.

  请解释be accustomed to的用法。

We are accustomed to take tea on the terrace.

  1. Mrs. Babbitt was not accustomed to leave home during the winter.

  2. She belongs to that class of people who are accustomed to have their own way.

3.Mrs. Duer was accustomed to sneer at carelessness.
