2、分号——并列、递进、比较

They have developped a hit-list of our main fears: that natural resources are running out; that the population is ever growing, leaving less and less to eat; that species are becoming extinct in vast numbers, and that the planet’s air and water are becoming ever more polluted.
上面句子中从二句开始，整段结构用标点可浓缩为 “：…;…;…and…”。 如果中学生来写，会不会又时间就想到了“for example, first,…in additon…last but not least”呢？ 很明显，例子中用到的分号不但起到了简单的并列作用，更因为其结构紧凑齐整，给人以紧迫感，更好地突出了“main fears”。再看一个例子：
Some corpora attempt to cover the language as a whole, taking extracts from many kinds of text; others are extremely selective, providing a collection of material that deals only with a particular linguistic feature.
本例中的分号=while, meanwhile, in the mean time…等连接前后形成鲜明对比的一些连接词。在写作中完全可以用这样一个小小的标点来实现连接词的多样化啊。

3、括号——解释说明、信息插入

本例中标注黑体的部分均起到了解释说明前面的中心名词的作用。不难看出，括号很直观的告诉读者，括号内部的内容为解释说明或插入的作用。这样括号是不是起到了突出层次感、使结构更清晰的作用了呢？！
