流程图虽然考的频率不高，但是许多备考雅思的人比较头疼的一种小作文。主要问题是不知道写作思路是什么，用什么样的句型，怎样运用描述和如何处理多步骤等。

    其实流程图不像其他的图表题，考察的是考生们的对一组数据进行分析，比较，排序等能力，流程图侧重的是完成某一工艺或发展的几个步骤之间的顺序安排。这样步骤的总分，先后顺序就必须写得很清楚， 如开始是什么，中间分几步，最后的结果或产物等。常见的英文对应表达有： process, procedures, stages, steps, the first, the following, next step, finally…

The whole process of doing… consists of … steps

In total, there are … stages in the development of …

The process begins with the doing of…

Finally, … will come into being. / Thus, … is ready for use./ That ends the whole procedures of doing…

流程图中常见的句型其实并不多，主要有：祈使句，被动句，和不定式或动名词做表语等的句式， 如：

    First, get a glass bottle of about 500 ml.

    The second step is to prepare a hole undergroud / is the digging of hole underground.

    Two stones are placed on top of the container to keep it tight.

    同时要注意的是流程图中经常要用到描述性的句子， 如描述一个物体的形状， 尺寸， 性能等，往往需要一些如in, of, with等介词， 或者用非谓语动词加以修饰。例句如下：

     a transparent （性质）cylindrical (形状) container of glass (材质)

     a star-shaped (形状) pond of 200 square meters（面积）

     a metal （材质）cube with holes on the side walls (特征)

     a cone made of plant fiber (原料)

    至于流程图中的多步骤的处理方法，一般我们要是具体情况而定，如果步骤确实较多，超过7、8项或者几个大步骤中又分为几个小的步骤，可以考虑几步合为一句，常见的句型有定语从句（其后），并列句，或者非谓语动词等。如：

    After finishing…/ doing…., next comes the doing of …

    First, prepare a piece of white paper…, and after spraying some cold waster on it, twist it gently.

    The first step is to open the second cover, following which is the burning of the logs put in advance.

    综合以上几点，多加练习，就会发现其实流程图操作起来比其它的数据分析图表更简单写。
